Overcoming Anxiety - Maclean

Sun 13 October · 10am–1pm · $40

Anxiety and stress are increasingly common problems for people in our busy, modern world. By gaining experience of Buddhist meditation techniques and positive thinking we can learn to control our mind, rather than allowing our worrying mind to control us. By learning to accept painful feelings rather than being panicked by them we can keep a calm and happy mind in all situations.

Is This As Good As It Gets?

Everyone wants a happy life and we work hard to get what we want. But even when we get what we want, we do not get it in the way we want. We possess the object but do not derive satisfaction from possessing it, and with every object we desire come other things we do not want. In reality, our pursuit of pleasure from external sources, while neglecting our peace of mind, is actually preventing us from living a happy and meaningful life. On this course learn Buddhist teachings on the real causes of happiness and give yourself the life everyone is longing for.

Meditation Retreats

Get away from it all and connect with your inner peace. We hold one-day retreats at the Centre as well as a general away retreat, each year.
