Numinbah Valley Autumn Meditation Retreat 2023
Friday 10 - Sunday 12 November 2023
NUMINBAH VALLEY MEDITATION RETREAT
A weekend of inner peace...
Escape the stress and busyness of life and be guided to cultivate greater inner peace through practical Buddhist teachings and meditations. In this meditation retreat we’ll develop insights that will enable us to improve all our relationships. Through learning to distinguish between love and attachment, we recognise how love brings only good results and happiness, whereas attachment brings only problems and suffering; we’ll learn how to free ourselves from attachment and cultivate pure minds of love.
In between the sessions, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the company of like-minded people. The retreat is fully catered with delicious vegetarian food and includes simple accommodation. All you need to do is relax and enjoy.
MEDITATION RETREAT LOCATION
The Camp is set on 20 acres of pristine rainforest adjacent to the Natural Bridge National Park in the Gold Coast Hinterland. The Camp is a wildlife Refuge and Environmental Park. It is habitat for some of the rarer bird and animal life in Australia. A crystal clear creek runs along the bottom of the property with The Lamington National Park across the Creek.
PART-SILENT RETREAT
A retreat is a time when we stop all forms of busyness and extraneous activities and spend time concentrating on a particular meditation practice. By observing silence on retreat, our mind will naturally become more calm and clear, and we will find it easier to clear away the distractions that interfere with our meditation practice. Through developing a clearer and more concentrated mind, we will be able to understand our meditation object more deeply and thereby gain a deeper experience of it.
From after breakfast until the end of the second session each day, we will refrain from verbal and physical interaction with others.

The retreat includes all meals and accommodation. This an onsite-only retreat and booking will be taken for the whole retreat only, with arrival on Friday afternoon/evening. Accommodation options include basic single-sex dormitories or camping.
