SPRINGBROOK RAINFOREST PART SILENT RETREAT
A weekend of inner peace...
Escape the stress and busyness of life and enjoy the peace of meditation at a special part-silent mountain retreat. This special Springbrook retreat will be guided by our Resident Teacher Gen Tsalden and will focus on meditations on the natural stillness and clarity of our mind to discover our own inner potential for lasting peace and happiness.
Suitable for everyone, this retreat provides an excellent introduction to meditation, as well as an opportunity for those already familiar to re-inspire their practice. Enjoy this unique opportunity to experience stillness within in the tranquil setting of a mountainside retreat centre in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
The retreat begins with dinner on Friday night and finishes with lunch on Sunday. There are plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind in the tranquil camp surroundings. The retreat is catered with delicious vegetarian food, and includes simple accommodation. All you need to do is to relax and enjoy yourself. Booking is essential – please book early to ensure a place.
A retreat is a time when we stop all forms of busyness and extraneous activities and spend time concentrating on a particular meditation practice. By observing silence on retreat, our mind will naturally become more calm and clear, and we will find it easier to clear away the distractions that interfere with our meditation practice. Through developing a clearer and more concentrated mind, we will be able to understand our meditation object more deeply and thereby gain a deeper experience of it.
From arising each morning until the end of the second session each day, we will refrain from verbal and physical interaction with others.
RETREAT FEES AND BOOKING
The retreat costs from $295 per person including all meals and accommodation. This an onsite-only retreat and booking will be taken for the whole retreat only . Accommodation options include basic single-sex dormitories or camping.
